Common questions about materials, timing, process, and what it's like to work with us.
Typically 2–4 weeks from initial consultation to installation. The timeline breaks down as:
- Site visit and written quote — 1–3 days
- Slab selection and approval — 1–5 days depending on your schedule
- Template — 1 day, scheduled after cabinets are fully set
- Fabrication — 5–10 business days
- Installation — 1 day for most residential kitchens
Complex projects or rare material sourcing may extend the timeline. We'll be specific about lead times in your written quote.
Templating happens after your cabinets are fully installed and leveled. We use digital templating tools to capture every dimension precisely. Templating before cabinets are set is one of the most common causes of countertop fit problems — we don't cut until the substrate is ready.
We start with a brief phone or form intake to understand your scope. Then we schedule a site visit, take measurements, and follow up with a written, itemized quote within 48 hours. No pressure, no obligation — just a clear number you can actually plan around.
Quartz is an engineered stone — ground quartz crystals bound with resin. It's non-porous, consistent in pattern, and requires no sealing. Quartzite is a natural stone that starts as sandstone and metamorphoses under heat and pressure. It's harder than marble, has dramatic natural veining, and does require periodic sealing. Both are excellent choices depending on your priorities.
Marble is calcite-based and will etch when it contacts acidic liquids like lemon juice, wine, or vinegar. It can also stain if unsealed. That said, many clients choose marble for kitchens intentionally — they accept the patina as part of the material's character. If you want a low-maintenance surface, quartz or quartzite are better fits. We'll walk you through the trade-offs before you commit.
Both. We work with established stone distributors in South Florida and can help you select material. If you've already found a slab at a yard you love, we can work with that too — we'll coordinate pickup, inspection, and delivery as part of the project.
Semi-custom cabinets typically run 3–5 weeks from order confirmation. Fully custom millwork varies — 4–8 weeks depending on scope and finish complexity. We'll give you a specific date at quote time and build your project schedule around it.
Yes. We fabricate in our Lantana shop and our own crew installs. We don't subcontract installation to third parties. This matters because the person who built the piece is accountable for how it goes in — no finger-pointing between fabricator and installer if something needs adjusting.
